First 5 pound Largemouth Bass

First 5 pound Largemouth Bass
Early November morning holding the first 5 pound Largemouth Bass I ever caught.

On an early November morning my buddy Joe Levonas and I started fishing in our usual spot. After spending an hour or so locating fish with the Aqua Vu, we started fishing a 15 foot hole. I had seen about a half dozen bass hanging in the hole and in the weeds surrounding it. I was using my 6 foot Falcon Expert rod, Abu Garcia Black Max, and a 5 inch pumpkin hogcraw. After dragging it through the weeds with no luck I dropped it into the hole. I used a shake wait shake retrieve. On the 10th or 20th shake(it was a long time) I got the strike. The water temprature was in the mid 30s so there was no fight. This is probably why I managed to get this lunker into the boat.
